Fatma Burçak

Fatma Burçak has always dreamed of becoming an archaeologist, but she graduated from the Faculty of Management at Istanbul University. She began writing her first stories about her life with her brother and eventually started sharing these tales with her son. Her first children’s novel, Journey to Akata, was published in 2014. In 2019, she released another children’s book titled On My Own Way, which is a project book that she coordinated and supported with a story. Fatma’s stories, review articles, and interviews with authors have been featured in various art and culture magazines as well as story collections. She has compiled literature for young readers and prepared a story selection titled To the Loyal Friends, which was published in 2017. Her storybook, Birds That Come to the Terrace, was published in 2021. Fatma enjoys reading on a balcony filled with flowers and writing in her cozy, small room surrounded by books. She organizes literature workshops because she enjoys discussing the books she reads. She cherishes conversations over tea or coffee and enjoys traveling to faraway places. She shares her life, stories, and dreams with two beloved heroes.
