About the Author

Goutam Dutta grew up in the Hooghly district of West Bengal, where his childhood was filled
with simple joys and daydreams. At school, he was the boy on the last bench, staring out the
window and waiting for the holiday bell to ring. Numbers on the blackboard never caught his
attention, but the red kite in his hand always did. That kite became Goutam’s constant
companion, soaring high over open fields and staying close, even tucked between the pages of
his diary as he grew older. Now, Goutam shares his love for storytelling and imagination with
primary school children. Every day, he crafts stories as vibrant as his red kite, teaching his young
students to dream big and reach for the sky.
