About the Editors

Abhijit Bera is the 2017 Krittibas Award Winner for writing Poetry in the Bengali language. His poems have appeared in several publications, online and in print, including The Signpost, London, Miletus, USA, The Antonym, Asia, The Anandabazar Patrika, Desh, The Wall, India, The Prachya Review, Bangladesh, Gard Siir Dergisi, Turkey and others. Abhijit was invited to participate in the 150th birth Anniversary Celebration of Gandhi by Sahitya Academy, Book Fair organized by Bangladesh, and The International Kala Ghoda Art Festival, Mumbai among others. His works have been translated into Hindi, Russian, and Turkish language. He has four major publications under his credit. Abhijit is one of the editors of Krittibas Magazine since 2019.

A bilingual writer and translator, Bishnupriya Chowdhuri holds an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Central Florida, USA. She completed her Masters in Comparative Literature from Jadavpur University, and has Bachelor’s degree in English literature from Burdwan University, India.

She translates short fictions, creative nonfiction, memoirs and experimental-lyrical prose from Bengali to English. She has edited two anthologies of translated short-stories. Her first translated novel “No One as Rano Biswas” came out in 2023. She lives in Pune with her daughter and loves to paint.

Born in 1984, in Ichapore, West Bengal, India, Jhelum Tribedi is a Bengali poet who regularly writes for the leading journals and periodicals of West Bengal and Bangladesh, namely Setubandhan, Kobi Sammelan, Krittibas Masik, Dibaratrir Kabya, Dainik Ittefaq (Bangladesh), Ekush Shatak, Kaler Kantho (Bangladesh), Hawa 49, Sananda, Adwitiya, etc.

She writes mostly on the trials and tribulations of Indian women, the conflicts that plague their daily existence. Her first collection of poems ‘Niruddesh Samparkito Ghoshona’ has been published in the International Kolkata Book Fair, 2015. The second collection of poems ‘Brishti Pora Bari’ has been published from Prativas in the International Kolkata Book Fair, 2020.
